Bad news:
I still don't leave for another week.
Have not given out this link to anyone, self-consciousness will ensue.
Still need want a camera
Attempting to read Kafka's The Castle is failing, I guess I can't force myself to like all Czech literature
Good news:
Turned in my internship application to work at an international school in Prague (will be Great news if I get it).
Received my checks for extra-ing (sp?) in the mail... but forgot about how MUCH taxes are taken out on paychecks :/
Got my Czech phone number, can't wait for my shitty go-phone!! (but actually, I really like shitty cellphones, I have never had a nice phone)
Great news:
6 of my best girlfriends will also be in Europe (you know who you are, and yes I just used the word "girlfriends")
4-day weekends, ALL SEMESTER!
I'm going to be in Europe for the next 6 months (still hasn't fully hit me yet).
Non-study abroad related news:
Jersey Shore will be filming its next season in Italy hahahaha, I need to stop watching so much crappy TV
Going to Mizzou/KU this weekend, nothing like a great Midwest college experience before going to a foreign country
Just realized that my bad news/every complaint I made/will make will be very reminiscent of a white wine. Its always good to keep things in perspective.

Ahoj.*
Yes, I decided to start a blog, a travel blog to be more specific. I'm not even sure if I will give out the link to anyone, but I thought it would be cool to have a place to collect my thoughts as I travel around Europe. Hopefully I can put lots of pictures up to, because I'm not the best writer. Currently I don't have a camera but digital disposables are always an option!
Oh yeah, by the way, I'm going to PRAGUE! Or Praha* as they say in Czech. I leave in T-minus 12 days. Unfortunately, I do not speak a word of Czech, which is the first question everybody asks me when I say I'm studying abroad in the Czech Republic. It may seem that I named my blog Charlotte versus Prague, which would actually be a way more interesting concept. Well unless Google translator is wrong, "v"*, yes the letter v, means "in"in Czech. I have no idea how to pronounce this word, because in English I'm only used to vowels being one-letter words. I'm assuming its pronounced "vee", but with my luck that's terribly wrong. Basically I'm screwed to learn this language. Anyway, I wasn't feeling very creative so I decided to give my blog a straightforward name: Charlotte in Prague, it doesn't get much simpler than that. But I don't want to be too boring, so I decided to mix it up a bit by pretending I know Czech and then using my infamous former nickname, Charlotta.
So now I've explained where I'm going, and what I've named my blog. I really have nothing else to say seeing as I am still in St. Louis. But I'm sure I'll update this again with stories of packing, Czech 101 youtube videos, and probably some random stories about my cats. I can already tell, this blog is going to be SuPeR EXCITING!!!
Na shledanou,*
Charlotta
